Nidec (Dalian) Limited, Nidec's manufacturing plant based in Dalian Economic & Technical Development Zone, China, was certified according to OHSAS18001^Note by CQC (China Quantity Certification Center) on November 24, 2004.

OHSAS is an international standard designed to improve employees' safety and health, welfare, corporate efficiency based on firm risk control activities, thus ensuring society's trust.

Nidec is working to enhance the workplace environment and minimize corporate management risks in line with the concept of OHSAS and will continue to assist the Group's remaining facilities in their effort toward OHSAS18001 acquisition.

Note: The term OHSAS18001 stands for Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series. Formulated on the basis of BS8800 by an international consortium consisting of examining authorities and industrial accident prevention agreements of each participating nation, this standard maintains consistency with ISO14001.
