Sankyo Seiki, a world-class supplier of electronic/optical equipment and Nidec's consolidated subsidiary, established its new overseas manufacturing plant in Zhejiang, China on January 6, 2005. Named NIDEC SANKYO (ZHEJIANG) CORP., the new plant will be located within the "Nidec Industrial Park" in Pinghu City as the Nidec Group's 12th ally to operate in the huge industrial complex. Its construction is due to start this winter with completion slated for June 2005. The Nidec Group expects the new addition to bring about a greater synergy among the Group companies at work in the Park, which will eventually strengthen the entire Group's competitiveness and capacity to respond to the fast-changing customer needs.
