Nidec Launches New CSR Framework |

Nidec Corporation, with a keen awareness of its responsibilities as a part of society, has been contributing to the society by developing and manufacturing products that are used throughout the world, creating employment, and achieving sustainable growth.
In order to promote CSR based on the above philosophy further, we have implemented the CSR Charter, CSR Committee and CSR Promotion Office were also established as of April 01.
The CSR Charter, which mainly consists of the following five basic philosophies, aims to ensure that all Nidec employees sufficiently understand the importance of CSR, and engage in honest and transparent business activities based on the Charter.
1) Work sincerely and honestly
2) Coexist with the environment
3) Respect human rights
4) Secure occupational safety and hygiene
5) Maintain good relations with the society

Also, the CSR Committee, under the direct supervision by the Board of Directors, will deliberate and make decisions on CSR policies, CSR annual plans, and other important matters to ensure comprehensive CSR management that can earn trust from each stakeholder.
The execution of the aforementioned activities will be led by CSR Promotion Office, dedicated for the purpose, in collaboration with CSR-responsible personnel in domestic and overseas offices.
Under this new CSR framework, Nidec will actively enhance its conventional CSR activities, introduce new plans, in order to become a socially trusted company with a CSR framework that satisfies social needs.
