Establishment of "Nidec Group Biodiversity Action Principles"
As residents of Earth, we all derive immeasurable benefits from the bounty of ecosystems with abundant living species. We recognize that respecting and living in harmony with diverse life forms as part of environmental conservation is a corporate responsibility.
We enacted "Nidec Group Biodiversity Action Principles" based on this recognition.
Through our daily business operations and initiatives at both the corporate and individual levels, we seek to contribute to the health and balance of the ecosystems, which we ultimately depend on for the attainment of a sustainable, green society.
Nidec Group Biodiversity Action Principles
It is a task of all humankind, who is graced with an ecosystem supported by its wide biological diversity, to continue to coexist with the variety of life forms.
Based on our environmental philosophy and policy, we hereby establish the following principle on the conservation of the biological diversity, and tack issues to protect it.
- We realize the conservation of the biological diversity as an important task for companies, and try to design a system to promote the conservation.
- We try to understand the effect of our business activities to the biological diversity, and to continuously reduce such effect.
- We contribute to the protection of the ecosystem through our products' contribution to the global environment.
- As part of our green procurement, we promote our business partners' effort to conserve the biological diversity.
- In collaboration with our stakeholders such as shareholders, customers, business partners, local community, and employees, we try to communicate on the conservation of the biological diversity.
